CLARITY CHROMES

I was in a marketing communication class when it dawned on me 💡. “Yo Ayo! SOMEDIFINTECH is real! Your interests are getting aligned💃”.  Two days later, I was in a Design & Marketing class when the alignment became so clear and much more understandable.

I LOVE COLOURS WITH MY BEING

Colours radiate so much Happiness. I instantly get lit when I burst into a colorful arena.

The night before my Design & Marketing class, I was binge-watching videos on the concept of colors. Why? Because the Normal is Boring in me was daydreaming about my wedding and how I wanted to have an amazing, not-so-normal color combination as my wedding theme.

My not-so-silly tag “SOMEDIFINTECHENG”, my love for colors, and being in a class (Design and Marketing) whose concepts revolves around colors and “SOMEDIFINTECH” gave me some happiness. I instantly deviated from listening in class to a fantasy world😂.

My thought was – I came to ESADE to get an MSc in Business Analytics. On the journey, I went on a Finance study tour, took three Marketing courses (because I CAN ☺️ and to fulfill the “SO” part of my interest acronym), and a FinTech course as electives.

This realization brought so much happiness to me that I instantly and absent-mindedly related everything to colors, and it “added up”/ gave a clearer picture. Hence the 💡.

I understood that for the CLARITY CHROMES of my life, Finance will always be my Dominant color of life whilst SOMEDITECH will forever be an Accent to me.

A little of each, bringing out the beauty of Ayooluwa’s life.

I used to beat myself up wondering what my purpose was, but that day, I deeply understood when they say “PURPOSE isn’t  a destination, it’s a process, a pathway, a JOURNEY!”

You acquire interest here and there, you work in different related and/or unrelated organizations but at the end of it all, it adds up.

ALL OF THE EXPERIENCES SUM TO SOMETHING.

Just like colors, the relationship and harmony between your interests, experiences and purpose might be:

  • Complementary (i.e. being at direct opposite of the wheel like Jemima Osunde that’s a Physiotherapist and an Actress)
  • Monochromatic (i.e. same line/pathway but with tint, shades or tone to derive different result like a Content Creator who’s also a Marketing expert eventually becoming a Brand Manager – all within the creative space).
  • Triadic ( i.e. three evenly different events of life forming a triangle which ends up being beautiful/bold like a Doctor who loves fashion and is a chef)
  • Split-complementary ( i.e. where two closely related events are split by one event on the opposite side of the wheel, forming the middle like Akin Faminu who’s a Fashion and Lifestyle content creator (both in the creative space) and is split by being a Doctor,)
  • Tetradic ( i.e. four different events forming a rectangle, of opposite sides of each other on the wheel, otherwise known as two sets of complementary)
  • Analogous (i.e. four  different events next to each other, something like Split-complementary, but this time, there’s nothing in the middle splitting them).

An Analogous situation might be events similar to  each other but works best when there is one dominant color and others are accent.

P.S: The examples might not be perfect, but they are meant to help you visualize the concept.

For me, I think my life events will always be Analogous. I look forward to seeing how it unfolds for me, whether or not my dominant interest will switch from Finance.

Dear Reader,

I want you to know that it gets clearer with time. It’s okay to not have it all figured out. Life is in stages; clarity comes in different chromes, but here’s what I’d suggest you do:

  • Keep pushing
  • Surround yourself with information
  • Do your very best to be as exposed as you can
  • Do not limit yourself

Above all, don’t forget God because he’s the ultimate director/ wheel rotator.

STAY LITTY💃😘
